I wrote this song because I had issues with a girlfriend who broke up with me because she didn't want me to sell drugs. But what she couldn't understand is that at the time, I had to do it to survive. I truly loved her deeply and she's not wrong for feeling that way....but, I had to make money somehow and my 9 to 5 wasn't cutting it. So basically, she said to stop and i told her that I can't do it

This is meant to hit home with everyone who means well and has great intentions for love. Yet, the one that you love refuses to be with you due to something you do that she doesn't agree with. But the saddest part about it is that you can't stop doing it or else you won't prosper.
