Hey there, I am Michael Smith. I have been writing and performing for over 30 years across the country. I have written several top ten hits for the internationally known reggae group, The Ark Band. I also wrote a number one hit called Love is What We Need, off of their Second album titled the same. I was born and raised in Columbus , Ohio and now resides in Minneapolis.St. Paul Mn. I have had the fortunate privilege to tour and grace the stage with some of the greatest musicians today. Troy jones ( of Slave and Whitney Houston) drummer; Foley ( lead bassist for Miles Davis), Frankie J ( Trombonist for the BarKays and Cameo). I also have performed with Tony Exum Jr. , a national smooth jazz saxophonist. I have played at the Rock and Roll hall of fame, Paisley Park, The Bob Marley reggae festival, and Reggae on The River (North Americas largest reggae festival).
