Friends of the Undergound are songwriter/musicians who have played for years in the southwestern area of the U.S. Rock n' roll and smoothe harmony inspired by everything from Beatles and Floyd to Willie Nelson and Elvis Costello make for a wide range of musical influences. Rowdy biker gatherings, cowboy bars, coffee bars, the occasional radio spot (Silver City,NM-KSCQ) and constant writing and recording combined with all-around gigging keep the Friends of the Underground a popular act with a very diverse underground following in the desert southwest area. The Friends of the Underground is the current band that brothers Eric (guitar/vocals) and George Montoya (drums/vocals) have put together after years of mixing and matching with Silver City, NM area musicians.
