1786: An inscription is found in the walls of cell 465, The Bastille, France. An unknown prisoner scrawled the following in blood; “Eternity wells in the hearts of all men”.
The meaning of this phrase was lost when its author breathed his last breath and escaped his prison walls forever.
2004: The search for the fabled “Eternity wells”, continues.
Eternity Wells are, Andrew Lawther & Richard Oliver.
One is a poet who writes the songs that he hears in his head. The other a song-smith, who joins chords like a carpenter joins wood.
Eternity Wells have released 3 E.P’s, all featuring in the Irish top ten. In 2003 they recorded their debut album “Anonymous Creatures”, gaining sustained local radio play and pre-orders of nearly 1000.
Eternity Wells have toured Ireland as an electric 5 piece and an acoustic 2 piece.
