Bio
Music that personifies emotion through ethereal melodies of sheer ambience, art that overwhelmingly impacts the listener and leaves them in a state of euphoria – this is the passionate creation of artistic beauty called Emotep.
Formed in the Summer of 2000, this Detroit, Michigan-based quartet has quickly risen out of the void of today’s music to shed some much-needed light on the scene. Gathering an esteemed following of fans worldwide in-support to redefine the definition of a modern rock band, Emotep is a venture into the recycled garbage that plagues today’s trendy music of commerciality.
“…this group already have a sound unique enough to affect the masses in a much needed and thought provoking way.” – theprp.com
Releasing a five-song EP in March 2001 opened the eyes and ears of many new fans and others as well. The band quickly sold more than 1000 units independently and promoted the music through massive internet exposure. In November 2001, Emotep came out of the studio with four new tracks and released “Sneak-thieves,” a nine-track production featuring the five previously released songs. It is a forty-three minute emotional journey into the depths of light and darkness. More than 500 people welcomed the band at their hometown CD release show.
Emotep is currently touring in support of “Sneak-thieves” with hopes to affect the souls of everyone that comes across the music.
