1ST ANNUAL VOCAL COMPETITION


SPONSORED BY BROADJAM, THE WISCONSIN CHAMBER ORCHESTRA, CAPITAL CITY THEATRE AND MIRSHAK ARTISTS MANAGEMENT
a) High School Division
b) Professional Division (not currently in high school and older than 18)
• Open to all solo voices AND Open to all genres of music
• $25 entrance fee
• 2 videos with no enhancement of the video/quality of sound
(uploading a video from your phone is perfectly acceptable) All applicants will be judged on the following:

1. How moving the songs/arias are conveyed
2. Vocal Quality
3. Acting/Stage Presence

Roy Elkins, Founder, CEO at Broadjam
Andrew Sewell, Music Director, Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra
Andrew Abrams, Artistic Director at Capital City Theatre

Prizes

PRIZES:

The High School Winner will receive $250 in cash, one hour of professional advice from Dr. Robert Mirshak of Mirshak Artists Management, a feature in Capital City Theatre's program and free season tickets to Capital City Theatre and a future performance online or live with The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra. Also a one year Broadjam Primo membership ($200 value)

The Professional Winner will receive $500 in cash, one hour of professional advice from Dr. Robert Mirshak of Mirshak Artists Management, a feature in Capital City Theatre's program, free season tickets to Capital City Theatre and a future performance online or live with The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra. Also a one year Broadjam Primo membership ($200 value)

Submissions Fee

$25 per entrant (minimum 2 videos)
signup for a Broadjam membership

Important Dates

Deadline End of Day August 1st, 2020

Winners Announced September 1st, 2020

Rules

REQUIREMENTS:

Applicant must be a Broadjam member (registration is FREE at http://www.broadjam.com)
Applicants must either attend school in Wisconsin or have a permanent address in Wisconsin
All applicants must upload two videos
All applicants will be considered equally without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.
