But, After a Play-in with BuckNeck-Ed, he knew that OUTLAW COUNTRY was just right for him, and he settled with us that day. The Mule said, "Joining BuckNeck-Ed was the best thing that's ever happened me!" The Mule will now be playing Gigs and Large Venues with BuckNeck-Ed, Living and fulfilling his big dreams.

Bad News

BAD NEWS was born in the Midwest, and that is where he started his career. He likes fast cars, pretty guitars and Metal music. But he also likes BUCKNECK--ED OUTLAW COUNTRY MUSIC

Dakota Fred

DAKOTA FRED is the outlaw country drummer from the North woods. Born in the Badlands of South Dakota, and later raised in the southern state of Alabama. Growing up he fell in love with the Southern Fried Rock and Country he heard, hoping someday he would be one of the ones playing it. Later on, in his younger years, his family moved to the Midwest. He jumped from band to band play-in when he could, but never satisfied with the direction of where he was going. But always, Dakota remembers where he came from, and the gut feeling, he gets when he hears that Southern Rock or that Outlaw Country he loves so much. Dakota finally hooked up with one of the Midwest's premiere acts, the Hard times band. He was very successful at this time, which led him to bigger venues. Playing with major acts like Motongater Joe and the famed Ditch Runners, Dakota decided to stick his drumsticks out a little further and get his own band together, to play the kind of music he loves. That would be known as OUTLAW COUNTRY MUSIC. Play-in in large venues is nothing new to Dakota and he plans on play-in a few more, only this time it will be with the BUCKNECK--ED BAND.

Gentleman Jim

Gentleman Jim as his band mates refer to him, has been playing guitar since the early 70's. Gentleman is a native of the Midwest, and was influenced by many styles of music. Jim, in his younger days, moved to Minnesota, and his music took off playing with the Old Flames, The Lug nuts, and the Different Directions Band. After a tragedy, the band dispersed, and Jim met up with still more musicians which became the Blue Star Band. One night Jim was asked to sit in, and play a little by Ed Merwin a member of the famed band Crystal Chameleon, and thus started a decade of an unbelieveable ride playin the twin cities music scene. CC played a variety of music from 50's to top 40 country. Not long after, Jim found his long lost sweetheart, and moved back to the Madison WI area to be with her. After a real short stint with a band called Barbed wire & Roses, Jim met back up with Dakota Fred, Bad News,Cowboy and Zac to form the BUCKNECK--ED BAND

Cowboy

Cowboy came to us from Texas. And we all know, the best Country Outlaw music comes from Texas. As a boy, he dreamed of playing with some of his Country heroes and writing music as well as they did. His Dad was a big influence in Country, turning him on to Ernest Tub, Hank Williams Sr. Cowboy finally at 20yrs, went on the road to fulfill his dream bouncing around from town to town, playing honky tonks, venues and whatever he could come up with to keep going. At the end of the road, he settled down in the Midwest. Its the best decision he ever made he says, I've finally found the band I wanna play with and the kinda music I like.
