Sleeping Composer & Poet

I wake up some mornings about 2am with a tune in my head or words are flowing.

If it is music: I get up switch on keyboard find a rhythm to match the tune I can hear in my head, press record and play until the music in my head stops.

I go back to bed, when I wake up I listen to the music but 8 out of 10 times I am unable to play again!!!

With words: I can hear words in my head I get up and write what I hear down. Again I go back to sleep. When I get up I move the words round to make a new poem.
