MagellanMusic bio

MagellanMusic came together in 1975 when progressive rock was at full force and almost every style was happening. Very quickly a lot of unusual things about them were noticed; they were always quirky, never followed the rules of the trade, didn't indulge in the ego trip that many artists do, and used aliases instead of their real names to bring attention to the band instead of themselves. They experimented with every genre of pop music, band members came and went at a dizzying rate, the band always on the move, even selling their recordings at live gigs which was unheard of at the time, and why they seem like grandfathers of the Indie scene today. But MagellanMusic stopped live work by 1984, converted to studio work in 1988, and it continues today.

The final reality is that MagellanMusic is very original, have a flair for producing albums that avoid repetitive styles from one to the next, and are very good at their craft. They have 34 albums under their belts, the last 6 on CD. They are excellent songwriters, professional in play, very expressive, clever at arrangements and production, creative with their presentation - altogether a band with definitive quality in their work. Most of all, they hope listeners enjoy it, which is the goal of all artists. There is nothing better that could be said about MagellanMusic.
