Laura Diamond may be another red-headed piano playing singer/songwriter, but don't be too quick to sum her up that easily. Her style is easy to recognize, hard to catagorize, but impossible to ignore.

Originally hailing from Staten Island, NY, Laura took an early interest in music, plucking out melodies on the piano at the age of 5.

Ms. Diamond took her music education quite seriously. Laura studied the piano from the age of 7, and a bit of guitar. "I am what you call a guitar owner. If you put a gun to my head and say, 'play something or die,' I'll probably live!" she jokes. Laura also played cello in high school, and bass guitar while at Berklee College of Music. She states:"In the end though, I had the choice of being mediocre at a bunch of instruments or buckling down and getting good at one, so I went back to the beginning and stuck with my decades of training on the piano."

In 1999, Laura released her debut CD, "Adonis...and other romantic delusions" which was released on the independent label, 3 Wishes Records. "Adonis..." was very well received by critics and fans alike. Her personal and moving lyrics often reveal a hidden side of ourselves, a side which most of us are not comfortable showing to others, yet Laura invites you in, asks you to sit down a while and offers you a cup of coffee in the process. The things she writes about are universal: love, image, acceptance, etc. But she doesn't take herself too seriously either. Humor plays a big role in many o
