He’s a singer, songwriter, vocal arranger, and has been playing the piano since he was 9 years of age.

Jason grew up in Oakland, California. Music has always been a part of his life through his family. His uncles sang, played the bass, guitar and piano, his mother sang and played the piano, his dad was a bass baritone and played the bass guitar, his grandmother sang and played the piano, his cousins sang, played the cello, violin, trumpet and piano, his uncles had formed a group that would sing “Sam Cook” style music, while his mother crooned ballads and played the piano. Jason remembers staying up listening to his grandmother practicing on the piano, while singing those good old gospel hymns. Every week the family would get together, sing and play instruments. With all this musical talent surrounding his life at a young age, Jason had no idea at the time how much of an impact it would have on his life. Jason Williams started to teach himself how to play piano at 9 years of age. His mother saw his interest and put him in piano lessons. Jason made up his own songs and played them for church. His piano teacher “Raymond Davis” scored Jason’s first composition and had it played at a recital. Jason continued to compose his own songs and play them for his friends; he also played for the school choir. For his birthday Jason’s mother bought him his first keyboard, he would stay up late banging away at the keys, but soon the banging turned into melodious melodies and Jason soon started playing for church at 13 years of age. As time went on Jason bought another keyboard and started recording his compositions, but he soon began to realize the limitations of the keyboards and that started a quest that would lead to owning his own recording studio.
