David Abravanel has written songs featured on television shows and films including “Fame,” “Just the Ten of Us,” “She’s Out of Control,” “Heartbreak Ridge,” and many more. His collaborators have included hit songwriters Jason Blume, Michael Jay, Marti Sharon, Tony Childs, Animotion, Mark Keefner, and Emmy-Award winner, Gloria Sklerov. Currently David’s song “Already Home” can be heard in Academy Award winner Faye Dunaway’s latest film, “Ghosts Never Sleep.”
As owner of MultiMode Media David has used his creative production skills to produce more than 500 audio/video productions for NIKE, Reebok, VANS, Intel, TSR Records and Olympus Cameras.
An accomplished guitarist, David grew up in Brooklyn, NY, moving to L.A. where he played gigs at the famed Whiskey A-Go-Go, Troubador and Roxy. He studied engineering at Cherokee and Music Grinder Studios in Hollywood; guitar, with renowned guitar teachers, Ed Arkin and Howard Roberts; and the art of orchestration with Albert Harris.
