Govenor has been involved in several successful projects, a collaboration with New Orleans very own world traveled jazz artist Donald Harrison; a two song feature on the national compilation album Young Lions of Big Head Records of Los Angeles; a hit jingle that was on the fore front of the Clean up New Orleans campaign which involved the mayor and other local government officials; a successful outreach program with Hollywood?s own Tom ?Tiny? Congratulations are in order for our February Monthly Contest winner, Govenor, for his excellent rap entry, ?So Sad,? featuring Jose. The New Orleans, Louisiana native takes a genuine look at Hurricane Katrina, and how the disaster, for many, instigates reflection on problems with humanity in general. The influence of religion is embedded in Govenor?s evocative lyrics, and his articulated, laid-back delivery, combined with poignant vocal hits, exposes a heart saddened by the destruction of his hometown.

Check out the winning song ?So Sad.? Congratulations Govenor!
