Beth Miner's story started out like many other young, female singers...her first solo was in Church at the age of 5, her first CD at 15, and she won over a dozen indie artist awards while still in her teens. Since then, she has had well over 200 performances and has developed herself into a unique talent. "I never wanted to be your dime-a-dozen singer. I wanted to have all the elements of a true artist...the singing, the writing, and my own musical style", says Miner. Although she has discovered exactly who she is as an artist, It's always been hard for Beth to describe her own music. "Two of my biggest influences have been Martina McBride and Celine Dion, so I obviously love big, powerful voices, but I've also injected a lot of subtleties into my singing because of listening to people like Bonnie Raitt and Natalie Cole. I've pretty much gotten used to the fact that no one really knows what to call my music, and I've started looking at that as a blessing - it's good to be different!"
