Brooklyn Raised Me...

Steph Wright better known by her producer name (BakerGirl) is a music producer from New York City. She is co- collaborator of the production team R.P.M.G Sound. Steph's music journey began in Elementary school where she learned the violin and piano.

During school breaks, she would visit her grandparents home in the Catskills, New York. She spent the Summers watching her uncle and his best friend practice their DJ skills on turntables. Observing those practice sessions turned into a genuine interest in beat making and sampling.
Throughout the years Steph would dabble with various production methods from learning keyboard to mixing tracks in studios throughout New York City. She became interested in music production software after she landed a job as a studio scheduler at an Audio Post Facility in New York City. She developed a knack for Pro Tools and began creating instrumental tracks in the R&B, Hip Hop and Dance genres. While attending College, Steph learned Logic Pro for an audio production course and opted to use that software for future productions.

After college, Steph decided to produce music full time and take on the moniker "BakerGirl" as an ode to her Dj Uncle Ty Baker. She has since produced tracks for rapper Nia NYC and in 2015 they co-created the production/ songwriting team RPMG Sound.
