Bio

Adam Gershon is a drumming, guitar-playing singer/songwriter who crafts a distinctive brand of pop/rock, rhythmic and emotional. Catchy melodies merge with introspective lyrics to captivate listeners. His unique, genuine voice has been characterized as rootsy and sincere. Adam considers Pete Yorn (also a drummer), Ryan Adams and Guster modern influences, while taking cues from classic artists such as Jackson Browne and Bruce Springsteen.

Now based in Los Angeles, Adam is busy exposing audiences to his own unique brand of rock. Having released an EP titled Where You Been in early 2004, you can catch Adam playing around town solo and with a trio that displays the rock-solid pair of Chris Lamia and Matt Steinhaus (Nobody’s Business) on bass and drums. Adam has entertained listeners at venues such as the Cat Club, The Joint and Silverlake’s Zen. Adam also plans to release a collection of new songs recorded in his home studio later this spring.

His first taste of commercial success came in Portland, Oregon while drumming with regional pop act Big Time Rosie. The band released two albums and many of Adam’s songs were crowd and critic favorites, including Remedy and Call Me Tonight. Remedy enjoyed radio airplay on Portland’s KINK. The band’s breakup provided a springboard for Adam’s solo adventures. His next project, The Spaces, released a self-titled EP in 2002.
