David McCormack's musical influences span almost every genre from the 1920's to the present. Most prominent list includes but in no way is limited to; The Beatles, 60's and 70's rock, all of Motown, Sarah Vaughn, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Jimi Hendrix, Billie Holiday, Wes Montgomerey, Kenny Burrell, Joe Pass, George Benson, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Mark Knoffler, John Lee Hooker, Brian Setzer, Carlos Santana and
Willie Dixon.
David received his musical education through playing in various musical groups and settings and circumstances, and through private instruction both from Faculty members of Berklee College of Music and earlier study and exposure with certain guitar 'masters' from the Philadelphia jazz guitar scene. He currently operates his studio/label 'MoonSound Recordings' in the Boston area, producing an eclectic mix of talent.
