Song DescriptionThe song has strong rhythmic groove with Middle Easten scales. There is a lot of beautiful
vocal improvisation. This song is very hypnotic. It makes for a nice meditation piece.
Story Behind the SongThis song is very personal to me, when I get to know you better I'll give you the details. I got my inspiration for my part of the lyrics from an actual experience in the front seat of a car on Broadway & 53rd st. in NYC on a rainy May night.
Lyrics
I got so high off you
I flew right into the sun
You said it's too much like heaven
You knew we were finally one
Waves on the window
The rain really gave a show
Sweet kiss, there was no tomorrow
We wished time just wouldn't flow
Fall back
Fade black
Nowhere left to go, no
So cold
Clouds in the sky were you
The night darkening the day
Somehow moonlight had to find you
and shine, takin' you away
I had a faith in you
The sun sealed it with a kiss
but the moon in its place embraced you
and left, leavin' me like this
