Song Description

A love song that's likening a couple to two peas in a pod, meant for each other. Like nurturing a relationship and growing together as a couple, blooming year after year.

Story Behind the Song

Written about the love of my life, so happily in love and I wrote this song looking back on how our relationship has grown over the time as we both nurtured it and also happy with where we've come from.

Lyrics

Two Peas in a Pod

Verse 1
I was walking across the street,
When a love bird flew right by me
I followed him down to a little old nest, Where some peas were growing

Verse 2
Through the soil the two came up
I watered them daily thinking of us
I told them I would make a deal
Two peas in a pod in this big old field

Pre Chorus
I'll look after you until you fall
Growing together since you were small

Chorus
Two peas in a pod we'll grow together
Through sun and the rain we'll be forever
Two peas in a pod two of a kind
On this little old vine
Two peas in a pod
Two peas in a pod

Verse 3
Today was the day I picked those peas
And you turned up and picked with me
Just like those peas growing in the pod
You and I together falling in love

Verse 4
So we got a little basket & took a peek
I invited him over to have dinner with me, Tonight I made a mean pea pie
This is the story of you and I

Pre Chorus
I'll look after you until you fall
Growing together since we were small

Chorus

Bridge
Send me seedlings for next years season
We'll do it all again for just no reason

Chorus
