Song Description

The song is about my mother who I lost tragically to ALS long before her time. I was able to add an additional melody and extend the bridge after hearing what the singer (YouTube sensation Eline Vera) could do. As well as strengthen the chorus (verse termination).

Story Behind the Song

A wonderful melody from my writing partner Dave Levene inspired an equally powerful lyric.

Winds of change blowin harder today need shelter from cold and the rain
Loss of you has got me thinking out loud lends an aspect of truth to my pain
Could I have been stronger helped carry the load?
Held on a little longer till the end of the road?
Now all the love in heaven will not bring you back
Can all the love in heaven heal me now?

Winds of change blowing dust in my eyes but I've never seen clearer before
Winds of change howling loud as my cries and it's beating me up till I'm raw.
Too many secrets played it close to the vest
Too many regrets did I do my best?
Now all the love in heaven will not fill this space
Can all the love in heaven heal me now?

And someday if time and weather should break the stone. Then on that day this hardened soul may grow and learn that no one walks alone
Pure love beyond imagining as high as a mountain and deeper than the sea.
Your love made me formidable nearly invincible power of your love inside me

Winds of change blowing and I'm resigned to walk for a while down this road
A few more miles who knows what I might find forgiveness might do me some good
Can I cure this sickness that's deep in my brain?
As God is my witness I wanna breathe again
Now all the love in heaven will not bring you back
Can all the love in heaven heal me now?
Can all the love in heaven heal me now?
