The new album STARING CONTEST has a real eclectic mix of Reid's musical mojo, with 14 all original songs that include special appearances by John Sheard on piano, Anne Lindsay (Blue Rodeo) on violin, plus songbirds Samantha Parton (Be Good Tanyas) and Harmony Trowbridge coo-ing alongside him. Recorded and produced by good friend Michael Frost in various home studios here in Vancouver BC. Completely self funded and collected over some pretty change filled years of his life, this record should help Reid make his mark on the world stage as not only a show stopping performer but as a composer of compelling songs in the tradition of Neil Finn, Glenn Tillbrook and Roy Orbison.
