All in Good Time

Childs, known for his swoon-worthy voice and seemingly hard-wired sincerity, wrote and arranged the entire album - with the exception of a stirring cover of the UK pop hit, "New York" written by Paloma Faith. The 10 track CD is the perfect mix of poignantly honest blue-eyed soul mixed with lighter moments of pure pop (like the playfully addictive track, "Nice Guys Finish Last"). Both qualities show the artist at his best - highlighting his unforgettably rich vocals and knack for folk-inspired story-telling (you might even catch a hint of Child's wry British humor). The album title, a play on the basic rules of music composition, is also a tongue-in-cheek nod to Ollie's long, hard-fought path in his musical career. Childs first picked up a guitar at age 19 while working as a motorcycle mechanic and was signed to Warner-Chappell Publishing only 2 years later. Ever since, Ollie has been writing and recording at every opportunity - finally finding the time and resources to focus on this album early last year after moving to Martha's Vineyard from his hometown, London. A totally independent release, All in Good Time marks Childs' first full-length solo album to-date.
