This is my place, Dark Corners, a nightclub full of thoughts that occur to me, thoughts that hurt me. You are welcome to come and join the joy/pain if you wish. The new album by MUNKIE called “Dark Corners” explores the inner reaches of the human mind, how we store things away that could hurt us, forgot important or happy parts of our lives and even just lose ourselves inside the mind wandering aimlessly looking for answers to life’s problems. Dark Corners takes the MUNKIE sound into a new direction, Looking at why people are like they are, is it just genetic makeup or is it social conditioning? It has 10 tracks that deal with all manner of different subjects from “Fake Smiles of a Plastic Man” is about how fakeness is taking over the world, fake celebrities, fake words, fake feelings and fake promises. With “Another Game to Play” where we play psychological games with each other when dating, some just use others and throw them away without a care for their feelings, others are just looking to cause as much grief as possible through constant arguing.
