Be Water

"Be Water" is the solo independent debut album from Munchini (pronounced Mun-chee-nee) of the underground hip-hop group Seven Seaz. The album, released November 12th, features production from Main Event West (Meek Mill, Beanie Sigel, Rick Ross), Black Light Music (Saigon, Donny Goines), Grind Theory (Monte Carlo, Yung Berg), and others including Munchini himself. Formerly known mostly as a fierce battle and conscious emcee under the name JB da Risin' Sun, Munchini has evolved into a multifaceted artist. After dealing with the deaths of several friends and family members as well as an illness that left him temporarily paralyzed and almost dead, Munchini used his pen and pad as therapy. Whether getting a party started with "Lights Out," comically chasing his R&B dreams on the interlude "Don't Take It Away," vividly painting pictures of people seeking God's salvation on "Heaven," or passionately inspiring the discouraged while declaring victory on his first single "Through the Storm," Munchini displays his versatility and his lyrical ability to tap into the various emotions of his audience. Munchini's roots in North Carolina mixed with his long-standing residence in Atlanta make for a great combination of artistry on "Be Water."
