I started my songwriting three years ago as I was dealing with a divorce of my high school sweetheart. Over that time period, I've written a number of songs, but these five on this album span the entire range of emotions I have felt since that life-changing period. With the exception of the song "The Edge," all of these songs are autobiographical. And even "The Edge" draws from my own experiences, even though it is a fictional story. This album is essentially a live album as it was recorded by my good friend Jeff White in his house, using only a field recorder. The intimacy of this project is laced throughout all facets, from the recording, to the artwork, to the songs themselves.
