My Provincetown is a collection of 10 of Jordan E. Spivack's instrumental compositions, performed, arranged and produced by Mr. Spivack. Each piece presents a musical mood painting of the composer's vivid memories of his many visits to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. In Mr. Spivack's own words: Provincetown, a small village on the tip of Cape Cod, off the coast of Massachusetts, is one of my favorite places on earth. During many summer vacations in P-Town, I have come to love the natural beauty of the beaches, dunes, and surrounding bodies of water. The busy downtown district, bursting with terrific little shops and restaurants, the myriad art galleries, and throngs of bustling people of all types, is a site to behold. And above it all is the towering Pilgrim s Monument, representing the historical significance of the area. This suite represents my musical impressions of a vacation paradise. If you ve ever been to P-Town, I hope it brings back lovely memories. If you haven t yet visited P-Town, I hope it makes you want to go there as soon as possible.
