In December of 2009, David Lopez Tichy was struck by an automobile and severely injured. Arriving at the hospital in critical condition, he spent 2 weeks in a medically induced coma. During this time, he experienced a series of extremely vivid dreams and nightmares, from which the anesthesia would not allow him to wake. Written and recorded over 3 weeks in July, 2010, The Dream From Which One Cannot Wake is a collection of songs inspired by those dream states.
