Kabbalah Dream Orchestra "Ancient of Days"
Electronic - Experimental
Sitar Shofar Chillout? Jewish Flamenco Dub House? Electronic Bossa-Niggun? The recipe for these musical anomalies: When Jazz pianist turned chassidic Rabbi Shalom Pasternak started studying the eoteric discipline, his musical fire found a new, sacred form: Niggunim. Composed by Tzaddikim (holy men), these melodies have the power to bring the light of the infinite directly into our hearts. Mix these melodies with the stylings of Daniel Fries, whose lifelong thirst for new musical direction led him through projects of diverse styles including Flamenco, Jazz, Funk, Indian, Afgan, Arabic, Persian, and African, performances in America, Europe, India and China, and co-authorship of several Italian dance and pop hits. Shalom's heartfelt, sacred vocal melodies, and Daniel's worldly, cutting edge production have combined to produce "the hottest record in the Jewish music world today."

Lyrics
I live on a holy mountain,
and I see all the holy men, standing in the valley.
You know they lived a thousand years ago
and I can still hear their voices calling..
Ay ay ay...
We're living in stone houses,
and we abide by the letter of the law.
We speak of the redemption.
You can hear us say to one and other:
Ay ay ay...
We look to God for inspiration
and in return he fills our cup.
We are the watchmen of our generation,
this is the prayer we offer up:
Diddy ay ay ay...
So welcome to the prize of His creation,
only please remove your shoes before you enter.
Because we're staning upon holy ground.
You can hear it whisper if you listen:
Ay ay ay....
...I live on a holy mountain,
and I see all the holy men, standing in the valley.
You know they lived a thousand years ago
and I can still hear their voices calling..

Lyrics
Lullaby in Paradise on shabbos day.
All the angels in the ballroom wearing their best wings.
The groom and bride are side by side on Shabbos day.
Now he's fishing in his pocket for the little golden ring.
He slips it on her finger, and she starts to quiver, shabbos kodesh.
All the angels, they begin to sing,
the forest and the birds chime in,
and everybody's swingin cause it's shabbos....

Song DescriptionTrancy, down-tempo, ancient kabbalistic melody with digeredoo, electronic elements and beats, synths, turkish saz, flute, darbukkah, and also english lyrics.
Lyrics
Open up your eyes, the future has dawned.
He's in disguise, but not for long.
Your hand contains the ancient manuscript.
You take it from the tattered vault, and open it.
Once wounded from the war, it heals his flesh.
A light begins to fill his mouth,
a fire fills his every breath.
He turns in fear, the gate's unlocked,
a wave of shock.
The letteres come before him from under every shady tree and every rock.
Close your eyes, the time has finally come.
The quiet revelation that your life has just begun.
What once was dark has now become light.
What once was light has now become the darkness of a thousand nights.
He takes your hand, leads you to the place
and you see each other face to face....
