Cazadero is a Western pop band from Northern California, mixing Nashville jubilee and Pacific Ocean swells. Waxing poetic on mortality, the working class, and the struggles of Western migration, their latest offering Old Friends (2013) will be released in the late Spring. Their debut LP Dusk for Dawn (2012) was conceived in nine weeks between sessions at Ocean Beach and Tiny Telephone studios in San Francisco. Hailing from New England, songwriter Joe Hayes was inspired after a series of trips to the tiny redwood community of Cazadero ("the hunting ground"), which rests a few miles between the Russian River and the coast.
