Bridges

The CD, Bridges, was written in a time of uncertainty with his future, and Travis decidedly focused on spirituality and experiences with himself, God, his parents and his grandfather (as in the song, "On the Water") for inspiration. The end result was a learning curve for Travis. It was his first trip to the studio without his former college band...the first songs he had written on his own terms, and it was the first time having to communicate his production ideas to studio musicians for hire. In the end, Bridges showcased Travis' talent as a singer, and gave him a big kickstart for the future. Even though some of his abstract lyrics and musical influences glared on this record, it nonetheless, was an out-of-the-gates album full of inside perspective, and even a few haunting ballads. Listeners and reviewers of the CD knew Travis had potential and they respected the fact that Travis was not really trying to write "hit" songs. He was giving himself an outlet, and others, a taste of his life. Awarestore.com writes: "Anyone needing to rest, relax and be inspired should listen as Travis enhances the songs with finger picking riffs to build suspense for the powerful heavier outcome."
