Phil is the bass player for several southern Wisconsin bands including STEELY DANE, VO5, PRIMITIVE CULTURE, EMMETTVILLE AND DAVID HECHT & THE WHODAT. Phil has also toured and recorded with FREEDY JOHNSTON, FIRETOWN, THE OBROS, THE KNOW IT ALL BOYFRIENDS, CLYDE STUBBLEFIELD, ELEKTRO LOVEKIT, TONY BROWN BAND and more. . . . Phil also can be seen playing Trombone and Percussion with VO5 and Primitive Culture.

The Isthmus High School Jazz All Stars, directed by Dan Wallach, have included the finest high school jazz musicians in the Dane County area. The group is selected every spring in preparation for the Isthmus Jazz Fest in early June. Many past members are currently professional musicians including:
