Why I Choose To Sing The Blues
Created by Terry (Lyrics) Abrahamson and Derrick (Music/Vocals/ Production) Procell, "Why I Choose to Sing the Blues" is a tome to the long and winding road that the Blues travelled from Mississippi to Chicago, paying tribute along the way to Robert Johnson, Junior Parker, Elmore James, Muddy Waters, Koko Taylor, John Lee Hooker, Son House, Willie Dixon, Bukka White and Howlin' Wolf. Lifelong devotees and disciples of the Blues - Abrahamson co-wrote three songs with Muddy Waters, and Procell's first band was named Parchman Farm - the songwriting pair present this song as a "thank you" to some of the artists who created the music that changed the world.
