Biography
In October of 2002, Guitarist-Songwriter, Shawn Raymond placed an ad in the local Austin Musician website searching for like-minded musicians. The first response came from a local Drummer named Rod Merritt. The two arranged a session and soon discovered that they were very compatible musicians. Over time other people would come and go with no influence on the direction of the music.
The two continued to practice for about a year, forging their sound into a mix of raw power to epic waves of intense music. In time, it was decided that Shawn would do the vocals. The combination of their unique sound would continue as they searched for a bassist.
The search would lead to an ad placed by Brandon Chisum in the austin chronicle around October of 2003. Shawn contacted Brandon and asked if he would come out to practice. After a good day of thrashing they all decided that Brandon was going to be the final element much to the relief of Rod and Shawn who had seen no bassist who could outperform him. Also a vocalist, we will soon see his capabilities.
Together, Brandon, Rod and Shawn are evolving a sound that you will just have to hear for yourself to believe. May Austin Texas, and the world prepare itself for the coming of TzolkinelemenT.
