Not your typical beflanneled Alaskan troubadour, Tyler Preston is a fiery electric guitarist and bandleader with a soulful baritone voice. His music infuses classic American folk & blues with a free-spirited rock sound that stems from his roots in the Pacific Northwest.

Raised in southeast Alaska, Preston relocated to Madison, Wisconsin in 2012 to form the Tyler Preston Trio. 2013 saw the release of the 11th Hour EP, his debut recording, which has received airplay in Alaska on KXLL 100.7 and in Wisconsin on WSUM 91.7 and WORT 88.9.

To support the release, Preston and the band played over 60 shows across Wisconsin in 2013, including a set at the Steel Bridge Songfest in Sturgeon Bay in June, and a feature performance at the East Town Get Down music festival in Milwaukee in August.

Since the first snowfall of 2013, Preston has been lying low, concentrating on producing new material, adding more players to his band, and laying groundwork for his next tour of Wisconsin in summer 2014.
