Trapped In Static is an American alternative band, formed in New York City in 2011. It was founded by GAD's guitarist and backup vocalist Athan Hilaki[1] and drummer David Torres. The group got its name from the first song Athan wrote for the band in 2011, titled "Trapped In Static". Hilaki's dynamically strong vocals feature a hint of raspy power that are often compared to vocal legends Chris Cornell, Kurt Cobain, Eddie Vedder and Scott Stapp, Torres's drum rhythms take their influence from Kings Of Leon, Phoenix and Interpol.
