I've been playing in bands all my life and have always aspired to write my own music In 2007 , I was faced with some serious health issues. Initially devastated by the news, I had a choice to make. Either immerse myself in self pity, or accept the cards that have been dealt and make the best of it. I chose the latter, and it actually motivated me to finally create my own music.

Ambient Particles was a three year project that brought my dream to reality. Influenced by Pink Floyd, David Gilmour, The Beatles, Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, Blackfield, and Bass Communion. I wrote about things that were affecting my everyday life. Our immediate family has endured an enormous amount of challenges the past four years.

Ambient Particles evolved into my escape from reality. Music was the perfect therapy for getting away from everything.

Ambient Particles is like taking a trip through time.
Let your mind wander, and your troubles will float away.

My newest phase of writing songs is more upbeat with happier chord progressions. I'm really proud of my latest song, Changed MyLife, and hope to continue writing along those lines.

Hey Tom, I just listened to the song "Comeback Kid" All I can sat is Wow! What a beautiful and empowering song. Very much like Tom Petty's "I Wont Back Down" A strong encouraging empowering song. All my best to YOU and your music! Mark..The Guinetones.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for a great and useful review of Rockin On Saturday Night. You are quite right about the need for some dynamic in the song and I really thought the same when I recently remastered it. My problem is that the chorus runs straight out of the verse - but that is my problem, not yours. Your comment has been really helpful and I will listen again to see where I can add a little light and shade.
Just listened to Comeback Kid and loved it. It's well written, really well produced and performed. Was this recorded at home or (as I suspect) in a studio? Good luck with it.
Bob
