“If Joni Mitchell and Tom Waits had had a child, she would probably sound like Tina Lear.” That was what Victory Review proclaimed in the late nineties. And in an April 2001 Keyboard Magazine review, Lear is dubbed “A superb songwriter with deep piano roots. . .Tina Lear knows how to tell a story. . .she sings those stories in a way that makes you want to hear them over and over.” Her music addresses the light and dark sides of love, family, friendship, community, and how all those elements come together (and apart) in our difficult world.

Featured showcase artist for the Nashville New Music Conference as well as the famed SXSW Conference in Austin, TX. Her 3rd cd, The Road Home, received airplay on over 100 stations nationwide. All three of her cds (Classified Ads, 1995, Full Moon Big Circle, 1998, and The Road Home, 2000) are available online at Tina’s website, www.tinalear.com. She's now a composer/lyricist of several award-winning family musicals.
