The emotional and honest voice of singer Christine and the band's lyric-driven triple A/pop songs are the heart of Thursday's Child's music. Drawing comparisons to Natalie Merchant and The Sundays, the band's message driven songs have been gathering a growing following of independent music fans to them.

While promoting their first CD, Lost and Found, the band laid a solid foundation by playing 200 shows, charting on college radio stations across the country, and staying in the top 10 of Amazon.com's download chart for almost a full year. The band's unaffected and radio friendly style helped their first CD sell out on listening stations, demonstrating the music's ability to sell itself on first listen. Thursday's Child is poised to build on this foundation with their exciting new CD. The band can be contacted at thursdayschild4@hotmail.com or through their website www.thursdayschildmusic.com

Our Story So Far

Thursday's Child started out playing acoustic shows at coffeehouses and small clubs, but here we are early on in Green Bay, Cleveland, and Indiana. All mid-westerners at heart.

Christine started singing when she was young and later studied voice at college in Tallahassee, FL where she met twin brothers, Jim and John. We started writing and performing together not long after.

Keith was touring the country playing drums for several different bands and later joined the three of us in Florida. We went into a one man recording studio in Ft. Lauderdale to record a demo that would grow into our first CD.

Lots of recording sessions ended as the sun came up over the cow pasture behind the studio but when it was finished we released our first record "Lost and Found". The first song on the record "Hey Emily" hung in the top ten of Amazon.com's download charts for 6 months with established major label acts.

'Almost Gone' was released to College Radio and the song received airplay across the country and charted on many stations. But, for us, the best thing to happen as a result of Lost and Found's success is the chance to perform to bigger audiences.

We found ourselves on stages of major festivals, opening for national acts, and onstage at the legendary Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. A really wonderful place to perform and a very supportive crowd. Performing new material led to a return to the studio to record a second cd.

The first effort ended disastrously when an equipment failure erases everything just days before mixing the record. But we regrouped at Warehouse studios in Miami with engineer Mike Couzzi and re-recorded a better sounding six song EP.

Now the new CD, "I know this much is true" has just been released and we're in rehearsal for what will be lots of live shows to follow from Florida to the Northeast and beyond. We hope you'll be a part of whatever happens next...
