J. Vega, Jim Pane, and Keith Klein formed The Speeds in early 2003 with the vision of creating tight, energetic, melodic power pop in a classic vein for a new generation.
Speeds music has been licensed to MTV's Laguna Beach, Road Rules, The Real World, The Hills, My Super Sweet 16, Human Giant, and Scarred, as well as the Oxygen Network's Bad Girls Club.
With the late addition of Rusted Root sideman Dirk Miller, the enhanced lineup performed on the MTV Choose or Lose Tour and released their sophomore long-player "City For Sale".
