The Redfords started as a studio project by John Gidlund some time in 2007. Teaming up with producer Greg Magers from The Attic Recording www.myspace.com/theatticrecording Gidlund recorded the first Redfords album entitled Miracle At Sunrise (Released 1/12/2008). Gidlund enlisted the help of the very talented drummer Jonathan Marks from the band Hey Champ to lay down the drums on the album.

In 2010 Gidlund teamed up with long time friends Shaun Sutherland, John Schoenberg, and Jason Smith to form what is now The Redfords. Together they recorded the latest EP entitled Come Alive In The Moment (Released 10/18/2011) and made the transition from Power Pop to more of an Indie Pop sound.

Recently music by The Redfords was featured in the movie entitled "The Circle", release date April 7th, 2012. This is the latest project by the Award Winning Cooked Goose Productions.

The Redfords have received plays on Q101, 93.1 WXRT, 89.1 WONC, and Fearless Radio local showcases.
