The Limericks are a basement band that started January 2003, originally as "Burton." Originally, the band was infulenced by the garage rock revival that had suddenly taken place on MTV. During the summer of 2003, the founding guitarist left, and the bassist Eric Overton and drummer Tyler Hendricks were left wondering what to do next. With the help of a guitarist by the name of Drake Brownfeild, the band was put back together, underwent a name change, and jammed untill 2nd guitarist Andrew Proctor joined in August 2004. They're currently working on covers and original songs. Though all the members are rather young, some of their favorite bands/artists are Jimi Hendrix, CSYN, Eric Clapton/Derek and the Dominos, The Allman Brothers Band, The Faces, Janis Joplin, David Bowie, T. Rex, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Bob Dylan, The Doors, and Cream.
