Biography





The Cables formed in May of 1996 in San Diego, California. In August of 1997 The Cables full length debut “Five O’clock Shadow “ was released on bay area indie 11345 records. In 1998 Singer Mike Flinn ran away from home and set up camp in the SF Bay area. A revolving cast of characters have joined Flinn on stage and in the studio all the way up to late 2003. Even with an ever-changing roster the cables played live, released material independently, and contributed to a few compilations (Left of the Dial: a pop tribute to the Replacements on FDR records and Horseshoes and Bar-B-Ques on 11345 records). In 2004 the cables are back with a new line-up and self titled four song 7”.
