Lexington, Tennessee-based Rock n' Roll threesome The B Students formed in 2003 -- originally as a progressive and psychodelic accoustic project between singer/guitarist Joshua Petty and drummer Justin Manley dubbed "The End of The Song is Raving Madness." After recording a demo for this project the band broke up and Joshua moved to Oklahoma to find his destiny. After months of facing the perils of sidewalk performing, countless open-mic nights, and an endless stream of poetry reads Joshua returned home with new found knowledge and began writing songs for his new project at a rate of one a song a day. Joshua asked Justin through a phone call to reform the old band, only this time with a completely different direction: Rock n' Roll. Justin agreed and they immediately started playing gigs in Jackson and Memphis quickly growing a strong fan base with their hipped out rock and folk music.
