Me in a nut shell

Entertainment Industry Experience - Resume' for;

Producer, Live Performer, Freestyle Wordsmith, DJ & Event Organiser

An Artist known as The Jackyl -

Over the last 8yrs I have experienced the depth of Australian Music, both Industry and Underground. From Rock to Techno with loads of Hiphop, Dub, Reggae and Dancehall in between. I built a prolific band that was the first band in 15 years to hold a residency in the famous band killer "Gerswin Room@ the Espy" in Jan 2002. I have been a part of Australia's forefront Underground Crews and Events from 5000 peoplez in warehouses to 10,000 peoplez out in the Bush to 15,000 peoples Dancing in Federation Square for WORLD PEACE. Melbourne has it alI and I have done a lot of it in 8years....and it blew my little mind. All these thingz have been my own field of development. In the next couple of pages I will share my experiences and hopefully you'll see that I have "the mineralz".

April to June 2001 - I envisioned and produced - The Chamber Sessionz, a live music show recorded for Channel 31 and broadcast same night on PBS, Melb. Hosted @ the SCUBAR, CBD. Hip Hop and Jazz Artists would improvise sound sculptures on a stage. There was only one rule : If you were in the Chamber, you had to throw down in the Jam.A Monday night would be rammed with some of Melb's hottest Musicians, Vocalists, Rappers and Turntabalists jammin' along side Muso's from all over the world. It proved to be an amplifier for all who experienced it. Musicians such as; The Cat Empire, the Sharp, Little G, Curse ov Dialect, the RUSH Effect, Combat Wombat, DJ Dominic Hogan, Max White, VCA School of Music and a host of other hard jammin' muso's, created this vision I had had in Byron the previous summer.
June 2001 to Sept 2003 (fulltime) - The RUSH Effect - A live 7 piece extravaganza. A true fusion of Funk, Rock, Hip Hop and Electronic Trance with Tribal tendancies. A vision for (at the time) a new all inclusive sound that compelled people to dance. This band had a cult like following at the time, that saw us crack open previous industry standards and have opened up the doors for a lot of the fusion we hear now, especially in Melbourne. I played many roles after the original vision ; Producer, Manager, performer, Decore Artist, Marketing and DJ. This project gave me the forum to test all my ideas that require a unique approach to industry standard practises. This has been my most formative garden of growth.
unfurled. So the government didn't utilise this amazing markting tool.
Jan 2004 to currently - The Primitive Wizardz - A Hip Hop project that remixes big tunes from the last 30 years. Songs like Eye of the Tiger by Survivor, Land Downunder by Men@Work and a host others. This recording and writing project is exactly that. Food for the Masses with well known hooks. My partners in this are Gumpy Gump Savidas (Mighty Big Crime, Freaked out Flower Children) and Dominic Hogan (DMC Turntablist Champion, Lumakanda- a World touring Live Electronic Trance outfit).
April 2005 - Digital Liquid in the Temple of Sublime Truth - An Ambient Beat'n'trip album/Live Show. Designed for Chill out areas @ Festival all around the world.
Jan 2006 - Sessions and Lessons in FREESTYLE - An entire album that was written musically over 6mths, then all the Words"n"hooks were done in one session - FREESTYLE. This is produced in a rough mixtape quality, in keeping with the raw essence of FREESTYLE Culture. This is as an ARTFORM coming to the forefront of Global Hip Hop Culture as we speak.
Now I have my first solo album available on itunes.com, the album is called
"11:11 the Shift"
