Ellia Bisker is the songwriter and front woman of Brooklyn-based indie-pop band Sweet Soubrette. Her original dark love songs rely on clever lyrics and mordant wit, and have been described as "Liz Phair meets Leonard Cohen." She has created original material for international cultural events such as the Paris Uke Fest and the Extremely Hungary Festival, and she was honored with an ASCAPLUS Award for 2009/2010.
