The Swamp Lords have played countless bars and festivals around their homes in the capital region of upstate New York, including opening for Quiet Riot, Warrant, The Outlaws, Zebra, L.A. Guns, and four times for Blue Oyster Cult. The band grew up under the influence of the great metal of the 80s, as is evident with the powerful vocals, slamming beats and intricate guitar rifts. Top-notch musicians alone, put together they make for one nasty band. Though the Swamp Lords are often categorized as classic or southern rock, after watching a live show you could easily see them playing with bands like Saliva, Red Hot Chili Peppers or Kid Rock. When you do the math and realize that these guys have been playing longer than some of their fans have been alive, you might wonder when they plan on hanging up their instruments. The answer is...never!

Swamp Lords
In upstate NY, amongst the foothills, valleys, and swamps, between the Adirondack and Catskill Mountains, are three guys playing their own brand of original hard rock/heavy metal music. Origin, age, and shoe sizes are unknown. Quality songwriting combining old school & modern rock is the main objective here, hence, a lot of songs may get tossed in to the "needs more work" bin. If a good song is there but still needs a little tweaking, then the motto becomes "Do it till it doesn't suck". You don't hear much actual singing anymore, guess it's considered taboo, but we like to hear stuff with a little bit of a hook and melody to it. The musical themes cover the whole spectrum of human emotions. Kick ass agressiveness such as "Dragon", "Glory", or "Love and War"...tongue in cheek rockers like "She's gone", "Get out", or "The Lover"...even a country rock/metal tune like "Mountain man" all make it a well rounded diverse collection of material.
