I've been writing and playing as long as I can remember. My original band, Sons of Buford, made some noise in the Baltimore area before disbanding in 2001. Opened for regional notables: Jimmie's Chicken Shack, Foam, Love Nut, Colouring Lesson (now Fidel), and Laughing Colors. Album sold nearly 1000 copies and played to full houses in Bmore. Decided to get a Master's in Psych- made music difficult to swing for a bit. Made it (somehow) and now i'm back at it- on my way into the studio to complete my first solo album. I'm also about to commence work on my 6th short film, my other passionate avocation. Don't tell music I've been cheating on her. Influences range from Dylan to Tom Waits to Radiohead to Bebop.

Bio

been plunking the piano keys and strumming steadily for years now. and sometimes the lyrics come- i'll look back weeks later and occasionally they're not half-bad. often slightly disjointed and almost non-sensical, but nonetheless i occasionally surpise myself, strictly in terms of quality. i play out sometimes- at libraries, smoky bars, nursing homes, for my mother, girls i'm trying to sleep with, etc. i guess some of that is more like playing in. i'm about to record again it appears- my attempts at producing my own music over the past few years have really accentuated my need for collaboration, emotionally and aesthetically. done a couple short films- a new one is about to hit the drawing board- my life is a study in utilizing the maximum amount of energy possible to make the smallest amount of money imaginable.
