Story Behind The Song

I wrote the lyrics a few years ago after reading the surgeons warning on a pack of cigarettes. I proceeded to light one up anyway and the thought crossed my mind that "what's killing me makes my heart beat". I enjoy doing several things that aren't good for me. Don't we all. That's part of being alive. And is part of what is going to kill us. Aaahhhh. Being mortal sucks.

Hard rock tune. with a kinda haunting vibe to it. Written about addiction and excess. Having one foot in the grave and really not trying very hard to pull it out.
