Story Behind The Song
The girl that died from drugs, was a graduate with my son. I teach with the mother in my school district. She was so devastated by this loss, all she could do was stroke her daughter's arm in the casket. Her pain, inspired me to write this song about the love I have for my own two children.
Song Description
After attending a viewing of a young girl who died of a drug overdose, I saw the grief of the mother and could not imagine the grief and pain of my loss of a child. When I was driving from the funeral home, I started to sing the chorus to this song. By that evening, I had written the entire song.

Lyrics
I CAN'T IMAGINE LOSING YOU
Verse
Laying here with you by my side
Nursing at my breast eyes so wide
You're a bundle of joy
My precious baby boy and Oh.........
Verse
Soon your sister came in her time
Both of you soon bonded so fine
Watching you both grow tall
Those years are best of all and Oh..........
Chorus
I Can't Imagine Losing You
My heart would break into pieces
Don't know what I wouldn't do
So I pray to God you're safe
Within the arms of destined fate
'Cause I, I Can't Imagine Losing You
Verse
Now you're grown and I have to go
Choices that you make help you grow
Destiny plays a hand
In Heaven's Almighty plan and Oh..........
Chorus
I Can't Imagine Losing You
My heart would break into pieces
Don't know what I shouldn't do
So I pray to God you're safe
Within the arms of destined fate
'Cause I, I Can't Imagine Losing You
Bridge
To dream that somehow love persists
'Cause the evils of the world exist
So many things could happen
Your whole life through
To take you away from me
Don't know what I wouldn't do, Oh.........
I Can't Imagine Losing You
So I pray to God you're safe
Within the arms of destined fate
'Cause I, I Can't Imagine Losing You
I Can't Imagine Losing You
Oh... Can't Imagine... Losing You
