“No strings attached,” said the man on the sidewalk. He reached out and gave me a cold Pepsi can.
He said, “It’s just a small way to say that God loves you.” He smiled as I took it, then he walked on by.

Verse 2:
It’s been four long years since I last saw my family. Addictions can steal all the joy that you have.
Life on the street has stolen those memories, but this act of kindness reminds me of home.

Chorus:
Could this be something that I can believe in? Here is this world where we pay for each breath.
I’m really not sure, but one thing seems certain; I’ve just encountered love with no strings attached.

“No strings attached,” read the sign on the mission. “Just as I Am,” was the song that they sang.
Free food and a bed was what caught my attention, but I found God’s love when I walked through that door.

It was the ultimate way to say that God loves us. While we were yet sinners Christ died in our place.
